About Meadowbank

Meadowbank has historically sat in the gap between more celebrated neighbourhoods — not quite the centre, not quite Portobello. But its position is actually excellent: a straight run west to the city centre, east to Portobello and the coast, and south to Arthur's Seat and Holyrood. The new Meadowbank Sports Centre (rebuilt 2023) is a major asset. London Road has good transport links. The housing is an interesting mix — some Victorian tenements, some post-war housing, and newer builds near the sports centre. Rents are notably lower than Leith for comparable properties, which makes it an obvious call for value-hunters who've done their homework.
